Where I bought it.
From the walgreens.com website. The price is $23.99 and I got a buy one get one at 50% off deal so I did buy that second item right away. That brought the price down to approx. $18 each.
Use and purpose of RoC Retinol Correction Deep Wrinkle Serum.
The directions on the box tell us to first cleanse, allow time for the skin to dry, and then apply the serum. Again a wait-time is advised to allow for total absorption before applying a moisturizer. The serum can be used once or twice daily, and consumers can work up to daily use over time to keep any irritation down to a minimum. That’s it in a nutshell.
The results will be smoother, firmer skin, that can be seen within weeks, with results continuing to increase over time.
What is retinol?
A Vitamin A derived ingredient, retinol is absorbed by the skin and boosts the natural cell turnover process, bringing about a fresher, smoother appearance.
How I use RoC Retinol Correction Deep Wrinkle Serum.
I cleanse first with a mild cleanser. This needs to be a product free of Vitamin C, AHA, or Retinol, and mine is that.
Night time use:
I rinse thoroughly, pat dry and allow 20 minutes or more before applying the serum. Usually I hop on the elliptical to kill the proverbial two birds.
Then I apply three pumps of RoC Retinol Correction Deep Wrinkle Serum from my forehead down to my décolleté. I dot the product onto my skin, then smooth it in, and finally tap or pat the surface of my skin lightly and quickly to assist absorption.
I then wait another 20 minutes or longer and apply a basic moisturizer that is free of Vitamin C, AHA or Retinol. The original Nivea cream in the blue jar is perfect for night time.
Once again I cleanse and wait 20 minutes, apply the serum, and wait another 20 minutes before applying a moisturizer. Since I need at least an SPF 30 when using RoC Retinol Correction Deep Wrinkle Serum, I first apply Oil Of Olay Moisture 365 with SPF 15, wait a few minutes, then apply an SPF 30 on top of that to be sure.
I began using this serum on January 1, 2018. The first week I used it at night only for 3 days, tried it twice in one day after that and my skin felt a bit irritated and looked a little red around the eyes especially. So I cut back to night time use only, waited a week, and tried again. My skin felt fine then, but, I still did not use the serum twice per day every day.
By the 17th of January I was using my RoC Retinol Correction Deep Wrinkle Serum twice per day with no problems at all.
My skin feels smooth, looks great and I do see the first signs of increased firmness. It’s subtle right now, but it’s definitely there.
I give this an excellent rating, and would recommend it to any woman who wants to give Mother Nature some help with the cell turnover process. It’s a good product and I am looking forward to seeing better and better results.
I took this at my desk on Sunday, January 21, 2018. I am wearing no makeup on my face, except for a pale lip gloss.
